That's a great point you make about personality. Personality is really the key to our "attention scarcity" economy. If people like you, they'll pay attention to you more.

Also, really like your suggestion that a good community manager should be a connector.

I think you have four great points here and I do think they're all key to a successful community manager. Personality might be the most important, because there are always multiple sources for content but you're going to look to the folks you trust and like first.

I haven't connected with Amanda yet (let's connect Amanda!), but David and Lauren are two great examples of letting their personalities shine. A community manager has to have the type of personality that enjoys connecting with people and connecting those people to others.
